Andy just stared at the back of his head for a moment. She had no idea why an innocent question had gotten him so confused, and now angry at her for wondering why he was confused by it. The tone of his voice made her blood run cold. Now she was actually scared that he might do something, and he could damn well be intimidating. She'd seen it at work.

Without saying anything else, she quietly dressed and shouldered her backpack before she walked out of the room. She didn't know if she was going to head for home - she could call Gail or anyone else to come and get her - or just wait and see if he calmed down. But she didn't feel safe in that room with him anymore, and she needed to get out.
